Crock-Pot Swing and Serve Slow Cooker, Stainless Steel

Here’s a great 3-headed crock pot I bought to help with my daily dinner prep. I stay very busy during the day, and don’t get home until dinner time. I need to meet my calories and macros, but I also need to go to bed, so I can wake up early.

One solution I found was crock pot cooking. The meal cooks slowly all day, so when I get home, the food is ready. Clean up is pretty fast and easy, too. I like this particular crock pot, because I can have variety each day. One day I might put my potatoes into a soup in one of the top pots, and quinoa in the other upper pot. In the bottom I can put the main course. Similarly, I can bake a sweet potato up top in one, cook veggies in the other upper pot, and then make a big stew in the bottom. Whatever you can imagine! And if you run out of ideas (like I did), then here is a great slow cooker recipe book.

I’m considering adding a dessert to the mix. What about stewed apples or peaches with cinnamon? Mixed tubers and a pork tenderloin with vegetables to go with that? Some items tend to cook a little too quickly (e.g. quinoa). It isn’t so bad as to be huge a problem. Given that the middle of my day tends to be pretty quiet, I might start putting items like that into the cooker when I come home to visit with my kitty.
